Girl Raises Money for K-9 Unit

PBSO Deputy Luis Ledbetter and Search and Recovery K-9 Tucker met a little girl named Sammie.  When Luis told Sammie about Tucker’s trip to the Panhandle after Hurricane Michael, and the fact that a protective vest was being purchased by the Sheriff's Foundation for Tucker, Sammie wanted to contribute (in the past she raised money for wreaths at the veterans cemetery).  Sammie had her 9th birthday party in December of 2018, and she asked her guests for cash donations instead of gifts.  She was able to raise $650 to help pay for the vest!  Not many kids are going to pass up birthday presents in order to help others, but that's just what this thoughtful little girl did.  Thank you, Sammie!
